Bebo Norman is a Georgia-born singer/songwriter who took a chance on his dream by taking a year off between college and medical school to try his hand as a performing artist and, before he knew it, had sold fifty thousand self-made copies of The Fabric of Verse (1996) at coffeehouse shows, out of the trunk, and online.
Never making it to med school, Bebo has now spent the past 16 years becoming one of Christian music's most successful and endearing performers, writing songs with passionate and vulnerable lyrics, reflecting both the celebrations and struggles of life. In his vast music career, Bebo Norman has released nine records including hits like "Stand", "Great Light of the World", 'I Will Life My Eyes", and "Pull Me Out", just to name a few. His 10th record is set to be released in October 2012. Bebo can be found at www.bebonorman.com and on Twitter at @bebonorman.
Bebo and TheTransMission founder, Tommy McGregor, have been friends for over 15 years. Bebo has become a vocal supporter of TheTransMission, saying in a 2011 podcast, "“The first great transition in our lives is the one that TheTransMission is trying to address, and that is going from high school to college. Life is (made of) consistent seasons with transitional periods in between, and the season of time from high school to college can really be a cornerstone in how you handle those transitions for the rest of your life.”
We are very excited to host Bebo in Montgomery on October 11. This concert will also feature Montgomery native Jessica Williams as the opening act. Jessica is a 2012 graduate of Trinity School and is now a freshman at Auburn University. She has been writing music and performing for the past few years. Her heart-felt lyrics will greatly compliment this night of great music.
